Sonographies
Sonographies is a research-creation project focused on visual and synesthetic methods of sound creation, composition, and improvisation. It was developed in three regional natural parks in France: Pilat, Chartreuse, and Monts d'Ardèche. Landscapes, cartographies, drawings, and engravings were created by musicians and the community during workshops and participatory concerts. This creative process fostered strong collaboration among all musicians involved. This multidisciplinary tool interconnects acoustics, geography, history, and musical and visual composition, promoting the development of a network of human relationships. The approach also highlighted what we consider the most valuable aspect: collaboration and collective creation.
Sonographies was funded by the DRAC Auvergne Rhône-Alpes program “Chemin faisant... Nouvelles Itinérantes Culturelles dans les Parcs Naturels Régionaux.”
